May 2026 Member of the Month: Tom Pyle

Kanna Fitness Magazine Cover 38

Tom Pyle has been to every Major League Baseball stadium in the country. He’s an avid skier, biker, sailor, and sporting clays enthusiast. He ran the Broad Street Run once (and has no plans to do it again). But if you ask him what his proudest fitness accomplishment is, he won’t tell you about a PR or a podium finish. He’ll tell you it’s just showing up.

Since joining Kanna in January 2023, Tom has logged almost 400 check-ins, humbly admitting that in the last year he’s been the most consistent he’s ever been. He’s participated in the Intramural Open, brings positive energy to every class, and proven that the best PR isn’t always a number on the board. It’s the habit you build day after day.

Tom’s “why” is longevity. He wants to stay strong enough to ski, bike, and bench press more than his kids. He likes to think he’s still 35 and he uses Kanna to keep it that way. After spending years at another CrossFit-style gym before COVID, Tom felt like crap after a long break from training. So he Googled “CrossFit,” found Kanna’s great reviews and welcoming atmosphere, and scheduled a visit. The rest is history.

We sat down with Tom to talk about his journey from online workouts to almost 400 check-ins, why his favorite numbers are all tied to his family, and what’s next on his bucket list (spoiler: wine tasting and travel).

Congratulations, Tom! You’re our May Member of the Month!
