What are your favorite numbers and why?
11. It is somewhat a family number with many associations tied to it.

What CF movements do you like?
Power cleans, abs, box jumps

What CF movements do you dislike?
Overhead squat and snatches

What sports or fitness things did you do before CF?
Running and body pump but have never pushed myself.

How did you find Kanna? What was your first workout?
On the World Wide Web! I don’t remember but loved it which is why I came back!

What’s your favorite thing about Kanna?
I like not having to think about what I’m going to do for a workout. I just go and someone does all of the thinking for me! I also like the high intensity workout in a The community, the coaches and the comfort of all of it

What are your hobbies?
My family, working out and trying new restaurants and wines!

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
While I’m very outgoing, I’m secretly shy and don’t like attention.

What PRs or accomplishments are you most proud of?
Running 3 half marathons!

What’s on your CF bucket list?
Strict pull up!

What’s on your general bucket list?
To travel more inside the US.

What advice do you have for new (or experienced!) CrossFitters?
Don’t be intimidated. Barbells and weightlifting, in general, tend to be daunting but once you see that there is a wide variety of skill set in each class as well as an opportunity to scale, it’s ALL doable!

Hang cleans and push/pull

College football 22 years ago and normal gym workouts

Biz found it and I remember base camp but can’t recall 1st workout

What’s your favorite thing about Kanna?
The people

What are your hobbies?
Hunting/Fishing, Anything that involves cracking a cold one and spending time with my family.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I’m very tidy and am constantly picking up after my children.

What PRs or accomplishments are you most proud of?
Getting I got the habit of working out in the early morning.

What’s on your CF bucket list?
Doubleunders

What’s on your general bucket list?
Travel more. International and Domestic

What advice do you have for new (or experienced!) CrossFitters?
You’ve already gotten over the hard part!

Anything else you’d like to mention?
I love my wife and the girls that we brought into this world!

How does one become Member of the Month? By embodying the Kanna ideals of Learning, Working Hard, and Having Fun. By contributing to the community and supporting others in and out of the workout. By being open to coaching and improving oneself for the sake of being better, not to “win” the workout. By just generally being a good person and having a positive attitude. And a lot more, but you get the idea!
