When did you start at Kanna?

September 2019

What are your favorite numbers and why?

1, 22, 10  birthdays!

What CF movements do you like?

Sit-ups, rowing,  deadlift, kettlebell swings, ring rows, strict press, bench press,  push-ups (from a box), step-ups

What CF movements do you dislike?

Pull-ups, back squats, running (not good for knees)

What sports or fitness things did you do before CF?

Swimming, walking, personal training

How did you find Kanna? What was your first workout?

My daughter has been doing CrossFit and I thought I would give it a try after doing personal training with a CrossFit coach.

What’s your favorite thing about Kanna?

Love the coaches and the community of athletes

What are your hobbies?

Reading, cooking, travel, fitness

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I was a sergeant in the Philadelphia Police Department

What PRs or accomplishments are you most proud of?

One rep, 165#, deadlift

What’s on your fitness bucket list?

I would love to do a pull-up but realistically I would just like to maintain where I am right now.

What’s on your general bucket list?

More travel!

What advice do you have for new (or experienced!) CrossFitters?

It is the hardest thing I have ever done but at the end of the day, it is so rewarding. Kanna is a judgment-free zone!

Anything else you’d like to mention?

Everyone says that CrossFit is a family. I would say the same thing.
